Posted in News on June 24th, 2009 by Mario Troise – 1 CommentI finished the base layout for Vulto’s new site today. For this project I had to create about 20 icons. I’m really tired of aqua, Mac OS and XP icons and their over hyped glossy styles. All I wanted was something simple, colorful and effective, so I used the Adobe Creative Suite icon style as reference.
These are very minimal icons with good visualization. They are easy to customize. I’m sharing some icons with you, and I didn’t forget the original Photoshop file. Enjoy!

Posted in Drawing & Painting on April 28th, 2009 by Mario Troise – Be the first to commentJana is a german artist with a great experience in digital art and a taste for dark, imaginary characters. I like the smooth strokes and strong colors in her images. They remind me some comic books and films.
Speed painting (or matte painting, photoshop painting, you name it) is more popular than ever, but it is still hard to find artists that produce such quality works like Jana. If there is one thing to complain about it is that I really miss some pencil on paper sketches and ‘real’ paintings.
Enjoy here work and visit her gallery!
Daniela Uhlig is another great german illustrator. Make sure you check her gallery as well.
