Sketches and studies

A good exercise is to carry a sketchbook with you until you fill it – or get tired of it. I got some magazine mock ups (they are blank magazines, like prototypes) and I’ve been using them as sketchbooks.

Magazine pages are terrible for pencil so I’m obliged to use only markers and pens. And I try to spend less than 5 minutes with each page. It’s a great way to practice.

Wooden products

Posted in Product Design on July 23rd, 2009 by Mario Troise – Be the first to comment

After a couple of weeks designing, prototyping and playing with wood, I got the first product. It’s a pencil container, or holder. Designed for artists, it’s very useful to keep all your markers, pens or pencils. It makes it easy to see the colors and grab the pencil you want.

Drawing animals

Posted in Drawing & Painting on April 27th, 2009 by Mario Troise – 2 Comments

I had some of fun drawing animals last week. I’m finishing a product design project and after many weeks working with graphic design and technical drawings it was great to change the subject. These are just sketches and quick drawings with pen.
