In January I visited this small shop in Firenze called Bartolucci, with hundreds of amazing wood products. ‘
I love how they handle every product (including the more “industrial” ones) with so much care. The colors, the finishing and the textures are really one of a kind.

I finished the base layout for Vulto’s new site today. For this project I had to create about 20 icons. I’m really tired of aqua, Mac OS and XP icons and their over hyped glossy styles. All I wanted was something simple, colorful and effective, so I used the Adobe Creative Suite icon style as reference.
These are very minimal icons with good visualization. They are easy to customize. I’m sharing some icons with you, and I didn’t forget the original Photoshop file. Enjoy!

My travel photography galleries at Flickr have never been so popular! This week I received requests from Schmap and Het PR Bureau, from the Netherlands. Schmap requested a photo of the beautiful Florence and Het asked some shots of the National Geographic Store in London. It is always a pleasure to see my work being recognized, specially from people from other corners of the world.
I’m really digging the work of Beat, a photographer from Switzerland. I added him on Flickr last year and to my delight he updates his galleries almost daily. I like the way he breaks the conventional with different angles and lights, specially for the portraits and erotic photos. I’ve used many of his photos for drawing studies.
